Abstract
Equilibrium speciation of a Ga(III) complex with salicylidene acylhydrazide, as well as protonation constants of the ligand, and of its 2,4,6-trihydroxybenzaldehyde and oxamic acid hydrazide building blocks, is determined using UV-VIS spectroscopic titrations. The results show that the ligand solubilizes Ga(III) and is expected to have the ability to deliver Ga(III) to bacterial Fe(III) transport systems.72
