Abstract
Two three-dimensional Ag-based metal-organic frameworks [Ag2(O-IPA)(H2O)·(H3O)] and [Ag5(PYDC)2(OH)] were synthesized by using carboxylate ligands. Both compounds favor a slow release of Ag+ ions leading to excellent antimicrobial activities. The compounds could rupture the bacterial membrane and exhibit good biocompatibility. They exhibit good thermal-optical stability under UV-vis and visible light.273
