Abstract
Binding affinities for exogenous ligands were regulated by a disulfide bond in Cgb. The formation of the disulfide bond caused alteration of space of cavity, and the variation was also suggested by computational simulations. Remarkably, a structure with a disulfide bond showed 2.5 to 100-fold higher affinities for exogenous ligands.
