Abstract
Zinc complexes with the extracellular loop of IRT1, a ZIP family protein from Arabidopsis thaliana, has been studied. The complexes with the Ac-(95)MHVLPDSFEMLSSICLEENPWHK(117)-NH2 peptide revealed surprisingly high thermodynamic stability. The relative IRT1 stability has been shown using several Zn2Â + complexes with multi-cysteine sequences.
