Abstract
⺠Optiferrin⢠is recombinant human transferrin capable of reversibly binding iron. ⺠It is a low cost, pathogen free alternative suitable for tissue culture applications. ⺠Additional purification of Optiferrin⢠is required for more rigorous applications. ⺠A template to guide evaluation of any recombinant transferrin is provided.
