Abstract
⺠Iron(II) complexes of terpyridyl bases are synthesized and characterized. ⺠The complexes show photocleavage of plasmid DNA in visible light. ⺠The complexes show photocytotoxicity in HeLa cells in visible light. ⺠Confocal imaging shows nuclear uptake of the complexes in HeLa cells.
