Abstract
The title benzylidyne-bridged complexes are nucleophilic enough to react with different metal complexes able to act as precursors of unsaturated M(CO)n and ML fragments, to give a wide variety of electronically unsaturated heterometallic clusters with Mo2M triangular cores triply-bridged by the benzylidyne ligand (MÂ =Â W, Fe, Ru, Au, Cu), or with tetrahedral Mo2Co2 cores.
