Did the presence of a guest in the cavity of an arene ruthenium metallaprism modify its reactivity towards biomolecules?

The reactivity of [Pt(acac)2⊂(p-cym)6Ru6(tpt)2(dhbq)3]6+ ([Pt(acac)2⊂1]6+) towards various biomolecules was investigated. Compared to the empty metallaprism [1]6+, [Pt(acac)2⊂1]6+ showed similar reactivity towards amino acids, nucleotides and towards a double stranded DNA, while stronger structural effects were imposed on Ub and to a lesser extent on Mb and Cyt c.166
