Abstract
The monoreduced corannulene in 1 serves as a building block for the 1D polymer based on the η6-exo:η5-endo binding of Cs+ ions to the convex and concave surfaces of C20H10â. In 2, both faces of the corannulene dianion are symmetrically bound to cesium ions in the unique η5-exo:η5-endo bridging mode.
