Abstract
As a continuation of our former studies on metallocene-nucleobase conjugates here the synthesis of novel mono-, di-, and tri-nuclear metallocene-uracil systems is discussed. Biological studies with these compounds encompassed cytotoxicity and antibacterial activity tests. One of the obtained di-nuclear ferrocenyl derivatives exhibited cytotoxic activity surpassing that of cisplatin.115
