Ferrocenyl derivatives of pterocarpene and coumestan: Synthesis, structure and anticancer activity studies

The synthesis of ferrocenyl pterocarpene and coumestan derivatives is discussed. They are accessible by the one-pot cascade reactions. The solid state structures of ferrocenyl coumestan and two ferrocenyl chromones have been determined by X-ray crystallography. Complexes were anticancer screened against human cancer cell lines and non-tumorigenic human cells.
