Abstract
The quantity of the cis isomer of [Cr(cyclam)(CCR)2]OTf obtained in syntheses starting from cis-[Cr(cyclam)(OTf)2]OTf depends on the extent of isomerization and can be controlled by choice of solvent. Syntheses of the previously unreported cis-[M(cyclam)(CCCF3)2]OTf (M = Cr3+ and Rh3+) have been developed and the photophysics of these complexes is reported.
