Abstract
The synthesis, characterization, photophysical and photochemical properties of phthalocyanines bearing α-naphtholbenzein units were described. The effect of the concentration on the aggregation and solvent effects on the absorption spectra of phthalocyanines were investigated. The fluorescence of the phthalocyanines was effectively quenched by 1,4-benzoquinone (BQ) in tetrahydrofuran.
