Abstract
α- and β-Co-Ni hydroxides were synthesized hydrothermally and used as heterogeneous catalysts in the oxidation of benzyl alcohol, N-formylation of aniline, and the Claisen-Schmidt condensation. The α-form is isostructure with layered double hydroxide (LDH), while β phase is similar to brucite. The catalytic activity of α- and β-Co-Ni hydroxides depend on the Co2+/Ni2+ ratio.181
