Abstract
⺠Distinctive autogenic process synthesized SnO2 nanoparticles coated with 2-4 nm carbon layers. ⺠Carbon coating improved capacity retention and cycling stability of SnO2 nanoparticles. ⺠Carbon coating quenched photoluminescence of SnO2 component in SnO2-C composite. ⺠Autogenic approach is extremely versatile, holds promise for designing new nanoarchitectures.
