Abstract
⺠The crystal and magnetic structures of (Tm0.50Ca0.50)MnO3 and (Lu0.50Ca0.50)MnO3 were analyzed by neutron powder diffraction. ⺠Orbital ordering takes place below TOOâ¼280 K in both compounds. ⺠An antiferromagnetic CE-type structure occurs in both compounds below TNâ¼105 K. ⺠A Comparison with other (Ln0.50Ca0.50)MnO3 compounds is reported.
