Abstract
⺠Structural studies of TeO2-WO3 glasses are critically considered. ⺠The oxide glass formation is analyzed from Raman spectra and thermodynamic principles. ⺠Separation into two phases, TeO2 and Te(WO4)2, is intrinsic in such glasses. ⺠TiO2 or Nb2O5 addition to TeO2-WO3 glasses leads to produce solid solutions. ⺠Nd2O3 addition to TeO2-WO3 glasses leads to produce a tellurite compound.
