Abstract
The main advantage of using biomass is its ecological character and low cost. However, some disadvantages, such as high sensitivity to moisture, low compatibility with hydrophobic samples and tendency to form aggregates during processing make their use still limited. The present work focuses on adhesion of different natural fillers without the addition of coupling agents by considering the different filler morphology. This adhesion behaviour has been determined in a qualitative way from microscopic observation and we have quantified its influence on mechanical properties decrease, since in this type of materials, usually, tensile strength falls.
