Abstract
- Microsatellite markers were developed for Comanthera elegans (Eriocaulaceae).
- This marker set is the first one described for an Eriocaulaceae species.
- The ten isolated loci are highly informative, showing exclusion probabilities >0.98.
- Cross-amplification was successful, particularly for Comanthera bisulcata and Comanthera ruppretchiana.
- These markers may help guide future conservation studies.
