Abstract
Two new tetrasaccharides (1 and 2) were obtained from the starfish Asterias rollestoni Bell, along with four known compounds (3-6). Compounds 1 and 2 contain a rarely found α-glycone moiety among starfish. Therefore, they could be of important chemotaxonomic significance for A. rollestoni in Asteroidea Class.
