Abstract
⺠Steroidal saponins obtained from different Paris are reviewed. ⺠Speculation on possible biosynthetic pathway for saponins. ⺠We re-investigate the genus Paris through the lens of chemotaxonomy. ⺠Genetic relationship between Trillium and Paris was reviewed.
