Abstract
⺠1,8-cineole, linalool and camphor identified as majority compounds. ⺠Linalool and camphor contents are inversely correlated. ⺠Camphor production is promoted in low altitudes (below 500 m.a.s.l.). ⺠Limonene, camphene and β-phellandrene are proposed as marker compounds. ⺠No direct relation between essential oil yield and geographical origin was found.
