Abstract
⺠A known natural pigment named selaginellin together with a known biflavonoid was isolated from Selaginella tamariscina. ⺠The possible biosynthesis path way of selaginellin derivatives was firstly proposed. ⺠Chemotaxonomic significance of the compounds obtained was discussed.
