Abstract
⺠SSR primers revealed 40 alleles and 46 genotypes for 32 Tunisian pomegranate cultivars. ⺠A high level of polymorphism characterizes the Tunisian pomegranate germplasm. ⺠Genetic diversity was structured independently of the geographical origin of cultivars. ⺠A common genetic basis may characterize the Tunisian pomegranate. ⺠Identification key has been permitted to unambiguously identify and differentiate all the studied cultivars.
