Abstract
⺠The mitochondrial COI and 16S rRNA genes demonstrated the power for identifying Mactridae species. ⺠COI is demonstrated to be significantly better than 16S gene for delimiting Mactridae species. ⺠The relationships among species of the Mactridae family are resolved. ⺠Potential cryptic or sibling species might exist in the Coelomactra antiquata group.
