Abstract
► Dittrichia viscosa and Ferula communis extracts showed significant aphid antifeedant action. ► The bioassay-guided isolation of D. viscosa gave tomentosin (1) and inuviscolide (2). ► The bioassay-guided isolation of F. communis gave ferulenol (3). ► Tomentosin (1) rich extracts were more active than ferulenol (3) rich extracts.
