Abstract
⺠Roburic acid was isolated from the roots of Gentiana macrophylla. ⺠All the presented 8 species of Section Cruciata were checked to have roburic acid whereas other Sections or genera not by HPTLC method. ⺠Roburic acid could be served as chemtaxonomic marker for Gentiana species in Section Cruciata.
