Abstract
⺠First characterization of endemic species Plantago reniformis and Plantago schwarzenbergiana regarding flavonoid profile. ⺠First study to determine acteoside and flavonoids in several Plantago species. ⺠Plantago lanceolata contained the highest concentration of acteoside. ⺠Plantago holosteum was richest in flavonoids. ⺠Mangiferin is detected in Plantago species for the first time.
