Abstract
⺠We analysed genetic diversity and population structure of six populations of Scomber japonicus. ⺠169 individuals were analysed and 11 microsatellite markers were used. ⺠Population structure analyses suggested the existence of two divergent stocks. ⺠Migration analysis revealed a preferential migration dispersion pattern for S. japonicus in ECS. ⺠S. japonicus had not undergone recent genetic bottlenecks.
