Abstract
► Genetic diversity of Chrysanthemum indicum populations was assessed by chemical and molecular markers. ► There was a high genetic differentiation among populations (GST 0.421 and 0.436). ► Clustering based on chemical compounds was inconsistent with molecular analysis. ► An appropriate strategy for conserving the C. indicum germplasm was proposed.
