Abstract
► We analyzed floral headspace volatiles of Acorus gramineus and Acorus calamus. ►A. gramineus emitted considerable amounts of volatiles. ► A new volatile, 2-(1E,3Z-hexadienyl)tetrahydrofuran, is the main floral volatile. ►A. calamus was almost scentless.
