Abstract
⺠Foliar volatiles of Anisomeles indica exhibit phytotoxicity against weeds. ⺠Leaves yield yellowish-brown pungent smelling essential oil upon hydrodistillation. ⺠GC-MS analyses revealed that the oil contained equal amount of mono- and sesquiterpenes. ⺠Volatile oil exhibited phytotoxicity against weeds in a dose-response manner. ⺠The oil holds a good promise for weed management under sustainable agriculture.
