Abstract
⺠Terminalia catappa fruits exhibited allelopathic activity on Lactuca sativa model. ⺠β-Sitosterol-3-O-β-d-glucoside was active as an allelopathic compound. ⺠Fatty acids and Phenolic acids were identified in the active extracts. ⺠Seasonal influence on allelochemical effect was experimentally determined. ⺠Allelopathic activity of T. catappa can be related to different groups of substances.
