Abstract
⺠We tested hybrid origin hypothesis for Melastoma intermedium. âºM. intermedium showed additivity in chromatograms at nuclear genes between its putative parents. âºM. intermedium had identical chloroplast sequences with parental species. ⺠The hybrid origin was verified and hybridization was bidirectional.
