Abstract
⺠We investigate genetic structure of Caretta caretta in Turkey. ⺠We have studied 256 hatchlings from 18 different nesting beaches. ⺠Both mtDNA and nuclear DNA were used for this aim. ⺠We found relatively higher genetic diversity and structuring. ⺠Therefore, the area was regarded as a significant region for conservation.
