Abstract
⺠We assess the genetic structure of Pacific and Caribbean colonies of frigatebirds. ⺠Mitochondrial DNA revealed differentiation between ocean basins. ⺠No differentiation was found among Pacific colonies. ⺠Behavioral barriers may be responsible for differentiation between Pacific and Caribbean colonies.
