Abstract
⺠Genetic diversity of Fagopyrum was studied by variation of nine enzyme systems. ⺠High genetic variability was observed at the species and population in Fagopyrum. ⺠The phylogenic relationship of Fagopyrum is in agreement with the achene size. ⺠Southwestern China should be the original center of cultivated buckwheat.
