Abstract
⺠Neighbour joining analysis of inflorescence scent data in Hieracium s. str. ⺠A NJ-tree based on scent reflects distinct morphological and phenological groups. ⺠The scent grouping is congruent with genetic groupings. ⺠Reticulation analyses reflect the hybrid status of intermediate taxa. ⺠The data point towards a hybrid status of putative non-hybid taxa.
