Abstract
⺠We derive a continuum theory for a thermoviscoelastic microstretch composite. ⺠An entropy production inequality proposed by Green and Laws is used. ⺠Strain measures and basic laws are shown and thermodynamic restrictions established. ⺠The linear theory is considered and the constitutive equations are given. ⺠A uniqueness result is established within the framework of the linear theory.
