Abstract
- Poly(dialdehyde) guar gum (PDAGG) was synthesized by sodium periodate method.
- Covalently linked collagen-PDAGG-PDGF based hybrid scaffolds were prepared.
- PDAGG stabilizes collagen and crosslinks PDGF by imine bond formation.
- In vitro drug release shows the sustained release of PDGF up to 13 days.
- Excellent fibroblast cell proliferation was observed on the 3D hybrid scaffolds.
