Abstract
- The incorporation in chitosan film of grape pomace extracts allows the modulation of their properties.
- Chitosan films with the polysaccharide-rich extract are the most hydrophilic and smoothest.
- The wax extract produced flexible films with improved antioxidant properties.
- The films with oil showed higher antioxidant activities and lower solubility in water.
- All the films are promising for food shelf life extension.
