Abstract
- Nanofibers featuring two antimicrobials: chitosan and cinnamaldehyde were fabricated.
- Solutions containing volatile oils were electrospun without the use of any surfactants.
- Release of cinnamaldehyde vapor and liquid from chitosan/PEO mats was quantified.
- High inactivation against E. coli and P. aeruginosa was achieved via nanofiber mats.
- Potentially, chitosan/CA/PEO nanofiber mats can eradicate pseudomonas infections.
