Abstract
- Report on high molecular weight dextran coated super paramagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (D-SPIONs) of optimum size and magnetic property.
- D-SPIONs is highly blood compatible and less cytotoxic on liver cells.
- D-SPIONs are capable of addressing the reported issues of chronic renal failure when used as MRI contrast agent.
- D-SPIONs exhibits superparamagnetic property with very good r2/r1 ratio of 56.28.
- The MRI contrast efficiency is demonstrated on liver fibrosis model of rat.
