Abstract
⺠A novel biodegradable sodium carboxymethyl cellulose-based hydrogel was synthesized by using fumaric acid (FA) as a crosslinking agent. ⺠Hydrogels show pH- and ionic-strength responsive behavior. ⺠Reversible pH-responsiveness of hydrogels was observed. ⺠Hydrogels exhibited biodegradable property.
