- S-Ribosylhomocysteine with endocyclic oxygen replaced by sulfur is synthesized.
- Thio-β-D-ribofuranosyl fluorides are prepared by reaction of sulfoxides with DAST.
- Coupling of 5-O-mesyl-4-thioribosyl fluorides with homocysteinate yields 4-thio-SRH.
- Stereoselective oxidation of 4-thio-D-ribofuranose with MCPBA gave single sulfoxide.
