Abstract
- A GH-46 Streptomyces chitosanase efficiently digested the intact Rhizopus cells.
- The enzymatic digestibility could be confirmed by CP/MAS 13C NMR spectroscopy.
- Chitosanase products from the cells were GlcN-GlcNAc, (GlcN)2-GlcNAc, and (GlcN)2.
- Chitosanase digestion of Rhizopus cells is useful for conversion of fungal biomass.
