Abstract
⺠Regio/stereoisomers of guggultetrol and phytosphingosine were synthesized in a stereoselective fashion. ⺠d-Fructose was used as an inexpensive raw material for the synthesis. ⺠The first analogue of isophytosphingosine in which the amine was placed on an achiral carbon. ⺠Isophytosphingosine derivatives were evaluated against their 5-LOX inhibitory activity.
