Abstract
Novel 2-sulfoether-4-quinolone scaffolds were synthesized by free radical rearrangement and used as potential antibacterial agents. Compounds 3m, 3n, 3p and 3t with CF3 and SCH3 exhibited the most potent activity. Compound 3n could damage the cell wall construction.260
