Abstract
Pyrrole and furan fused naphthoquinones were designed and synthesized from corresponding 2-aminonaphthoquinones and 2-hydroxynaphthoquinone on reaction with conjugated nitroalkenes and evaluated against several cancer cell lines showing, in some cases, IC50 values below 1.5â¯Î¼M.230
