Abstract
⺠A novel series of 1,5-benzothiazepines was synthesized. ⺠The synthesized compounds were tested for their in vitro antimicrobial activity. ⺠Both antibacterial and antifungal activities were found to be prolific. ⺠Physicochemical parameters and antimicrobial activity were correlated by QSAR studies. ⺠The electronic parameters were found dominant in describing antimicrobial activity.
